Outstanding 1958 Jaguar MK1 Saloon. Original numbers matching car. Rare 4speed overdrive. Restored/Survivor condition. Rust and accident free.

The original engine, transmission, brakes (4 wheel disc) and suspension have been completely rebuilt. In addition, the carbs were rebuilt and the fuel tank was removed, boiled out and sealed. It sports a new custom performance exhaust system that sounds out of this world. Very few miles since these overhauls, but the car is fully sorted out and ready to go. She fires right off the switch. The seats have been recovered, new carpet installed, the headliner is original, the woodwork was all painstakingly refinished and looks beautiful. All the glass and chrome is original and looks very good for original. The car was re-painted many years ago but still presents very well, The body is excellent, there are a few small dents, chips and scratches. The car was restored to be an excellent driver, vintage rally or event car. Included in sale is complete original tool kit, owners handbook and a second set of wire wheels (chrome) It is titled as an 58, but the original warranty card indicates it was delivered new in November 1957, so it could be entered in many prestigious vintage auto rallies. Not to be confused with it's far more common brother the MK 2, there are only a handfull of excellent MK1 Jaguars left in the world. The majority of Mk1's that were imported to the USA have the dreadful Borg Warner automatic transmission. To me, the Jag MK 1 is just as sexy and exotic as the XK 150. . . but with the extra perk of having a real back seat so friends or family can share in the fun. I searched for many many years to find this car. Unique opportunity to own a very proper, fast, tight and fun vintage sports saloon.
